I was a Black Protestant at a camp run jointly by Episcopalians and Catholics once. I decided to go to the Catholic service one night, but couldn’t figure out which was which. Strange costumes and Latin, oh my.
My, this one really struck a nerve - especially among the naysayers, it seems. By the way, if you had actually listened to Big O’s speeches, you would know he favored ‘We’, not ‘I’, as in ‘together We will stop the downward spiral and make this country great again’, unlike the previous spectacular administration that was so universally admired and revered.
Sharpton and Jackson were Black leaders of their day. Without their contributions, Barack would not be an American leader who happens to be Black (or Man of Color, or Multicultural, or whatever). And don’t kid yourself, there is still a place for them in this America, thankfully a shrinking place.
A public figure might want to keep a secret that is not a crime? Kinda far fetched…
