    This stunt was originally featured in “Topkapi”, a movie from the early ’60s set in Istanbul. This movie was later parodized in an animated movie of the “Wallace & Gromit” series, called “The wrong trousers”, and later also reprised in “Mission: Impossible”.

    Hamas was not created by Mossad but was supported by Israel since it was enemy to PLO, which in those times (at the turn of the century) was (under the leadership of Yassir Arafat) the quintessential enemy of Israel. Concerning this strip, let’s remember that all the views exposed in these panels are the views of the Red Rascal, not of Trudeau.

    All of the strips published Mon to Sat are reruns, all the ones published on Sun are new. You can see the year in which the strip was originally published between the 1st and 2nd panel. Alex, Mike’s and JJ’s daughter, is now a mother of three.
