My name is Christopher Mills, and I’m a pal of - and long time collaborator with - Dick Tracy artist Joe Staton. In fact, I was the guy who hired him for that Mike Danger strip Mike linked to on Saturday.
Like everyone else here, I’ve been really enjoying what Joe and Mike and the rest of their team have been doing with the Dick Tracy strip. I’m an old fan of the character who just couldn’t stomach the strip over the last couple of decades (since Collins & Fletcher), so I’m thrilled to be able to actually follow it again.
If anyone’s interested in other work by Joe in the Dick Tracy vein, Joe and I have been producing an internet comic strip and comic book series called “Femme Noir” about a mysterious lady detective in a world very much like Tracy’s, for several years now.
