I like the art, too. The Tarzan artists I am most familiar with are Hogarth, Foster, Manning, and, in comics, Kubert. John Celardo was a bit of a mystery to me so I looked him up on Wiki and found that the man has had quite a career! Also, Wiki gives no date of death and, if he is still alive, he’ll turn 93 in December.
Suddenly, Tarzan stops and ponders " Blue Cross? Paid vacation time? Just what kind of 401k are we talking about here? The monkeys are lousy accountants!".
Hmmm….Last time I looked, I was reading “Tarzan” from around 1962. PC be damned! It’s a fun read ( yes, it does bog down at times) and has some very nice art. It’s not Hal Foster’s or Burne Hogarth’s Tarzan, but it’s a decent strip.
I believe that “I Love Lucy” broke some ground by referring to Mrs. Arnaz as “enceinte”.
