My first car was a 55 Mercury Monterey. 12 mpg from that old 292 that I rebuilt myself. You could get real auto parts from Sears, along with the tools, though I preferred Penney’s and Ward’s tools. Gas was generally 30 cents, but you could often fight it for 19 during a gas war. Once I even found it at 10 cents.
Liberal, conservative, communist, whatever, it’s funny. As a registered Republican and avowed Libertarian and a Bush supporter, I still find it funny. I found it hilarious back in the eighties when I was a Reagan supporter. Humor and satire does not have to take sides.
About time Bil the Cat showed up ( I remember it being spelled with one “l”, but I could be wrong). The only other truly endearing cat in comicdom was Fat Freddy’s. Of course, Fritz was pretty cool, too.
How interesting that, out of seventeen comments, not one focused on Obama’s seasoned inner circle’s inability to come up with anything but ” Rush Limbaugh is a dweeb.” I think that inner circle needs a bit more seasoning.
