For those who have read all of the posts, my story is I took typing in high school in 1967. We had Underwood electric typewriters with blank keys. The only reference was either the book or a chart in the front of the classroom. The teacher pulled a map down over that chart during tests. You could look at the keyboard all you wanted?!?!? It was like learning to swim by being thrown in the water…..Anyone who came out of that class with a passing grade knew how to type. Wouldn’t have it any other way.
Last time for me Wiley, I have enjoyed your wit for several years, but the other day was enough. You are nothing but a bigoted far left liberal. One day you and your friends will have to open your eyes. Bye now!!!!
Toilet seats are simple in our house. We have a large dog that will get a drink, and then come and give whoever is handy a big wet kiss. Thus, the lid stays down for a very good reason!!!!
The definition of violence is not exact. The statement about being brought up in a violent household rang my bell just a little. My mother always said they were “discussing” things aggressively when she and my dad would argue about things. Their marriage lasted 52 years before my dad passed away. I liked to think it was like two dogs fighting—just leave them alone, if you try and stop it you get dog bit.
Too much of this business of trying to always be polite and correct goes on as it is. The human machine is just an elevated animal with all the instincts passed from thousands of years of experience.
I have a dog like that. That is, getting out was a game. He has an acre to run on, inside fences, but getting out was a lot of fun til I chained him to a post in the middle of the yard for a whole day. Then he knew it was more fun to stay in. That acre is plenty big enough.
