Actually the rhinoceri had the phobia that it was bad luck if a human crossed their path and that’s why there weren’t enough rhinoceri around to keep the human version going.

Go back to the Jan 21 strip, last panel, over John’s right shoulder in the background, the silhouette sure looks like Bribery and there also appears to be a heart.

I spy with my little eye….some things which don’t belong in the kitchens!Higher res (not larger picture) would be nice to make out more of the details.

The wizard asks for Friday off. The Kings says (sarcastically of course), “When I lay an egg and hatch a puppy then you can have Friday off”….did I come close to getting this one?

I am enjoying reading this and find it great that you are challenging us to use our own imaginations and create our own adventures anytime we want.

Cement is a powder but add some aggregate (like little rocks) and it becomes concrete which is what you drive on. Cement can still harden but isn’t as strong. It can be thick like a milk shake so Tracy could still get through it but be totally coated in it. He should have held his gun high (like the cowboys when crossing rivers). Bring on the cavalry!

If Tracy walked through the cement/concrete, his shoes/feet are now covered and the cement/concrete will start to hard around them making it difficult for him to move….kind of like being set up to swim with the fishes….

I appreciate this character development side track. I have only been reading DT for a couple of years and learning the history and finding attachments to some of the characters keeps me involved. Thanks Joe and Mike for helping us “newbies” learn the history of DT.
