But Trump is a traitor to the nation. He allowed ( read: instigated and encouraged) the Capitol to be attacked and for three hours did nothing. Then he took THOUSANDS of documents, including classified material, and hid them from a legal FBI search. So by your standards, Trump is by magnitudes a bigger criminal than Hunter ever was or will be.
Hunter had a plea deal. He had been making restitution on the taxes and fines owed. A drug addict lied on a gun form (which NRA and GOP regularly object to) and the gun was never used for anything. He also plead guilty to that. Many prosecutors commented under those circumstances it was neither cost effective or just to go through the expense of a trial and incarceration. And if it had been anybody other than a Biden, it would have been over and done with easily. Plus what office was Hunter serving in? How did this all benefit Biden?
So your definition of a lawfare is woefully shallow to support the pretentiousness of someone who voted a convicted felon and adjudicated rapist and owing almost $600 million in civil judgments into office. While I don’t like it, taken in context, I can’t really get too upset about it.
Name some crimes. Specifically. Ones that can be charged. Name the evidence showing that, not just your fevered speculations. Because frankly from your support of a criminal elected official, you are probably guilty of financial and violent crimes …… right?
Hunter had plead guilty several years before and was working to pay back his taxes and fines. The gun was never used and thrown away. Never used in any crime. With these types of crime, it would neither be cost or justice effective to hold a trial or give a jail sentence. But GOP lawfare needs blood sacrifices.
Oh geeee ……. Biden pardoned his son Hunter from a GOP/MAGA lawfare attack and this renders the “pardon” debate moot? How many in Don-OLD first administration were convicted and pardoned?
Not all of us have had your blinders on.
