Actually the exact words aren’t important. The prosecution merely has to convince the jury on the intent. Trump’s best defense is that he’s so dumb that he really believes there are really thousands of legal votes hidden somewhere waiting to be found.
Remember that the topside stated that all the animals were gone. I’m taking this at face value. Therefore whatever wildlife we have seen must be mutants.
If all wildlife has disappeared, what did the sea creature/mutant live on? It looks like it had to be eating other sea dwelling mutants. Grabbing people off of boats must be a relatively rare event.
This is not Iraq or even Afghanistan. This is more like Clinton bombing the Sudan or Reagan bombing Libya. We drop a couple of bombs, declare victory and it’s over. Had he just launched the attack rather than saying he was going to ask Congress, this would already be history and well on the way to being forgotten.
The odd thing is no President has ever asked for Congressional authority for a mission this small. The mere fact that he did has made people think it’s going to be bigger than it will be. The fact that he’s set a precedent for doing this may be the most important thing to come out of the entire affair.
The problem with the HC system is that you need a bureaucracy to run it., i.e. to handle the selection, notify the people involved, etc. Since it’s all done behind close doors it become simple for that bureaucracy to rig the system. How would anybody know if the members of the HC are actually selected at random since the public doesn’t see it happen or even know who’s on the council?
The difference is that the police didn’t care that Martin was shot while the people who shot Lane were arrested almost immediately. Black people get arrested, white people get to walk.
And Zimmerman was the aggressor by stalking Martin. Martin merely attempted to stand his ground. You can’t attack someone and, when they try to defend themselves, claim self defense in killing them.
Optimist believe this is the best of all possible worlds. Pessimists agree with them.
