   Harvey in the house.

   And the smoke from the wood debris burning. We lost our house on Copano Bay & took til 2020 to rebuild.

   Even though we lost essentially everything, we had “survivor’s guilt” because so many people had it worse with fewer resources. There are still blue tarps on roofs from 2017.

   Visiting with people from around the area in the years after Harvey, it was stunning the numbers of ways houses were destroyed by the same storm. Our house was on high ground but was hit by a tornado in the eyewall. Wind, rain, storm surge, etc all have different impacts.

   There’s enough faulty information during any storm recovery, please do not feed the disinformation.

    But it will become your moon.We just moved from the Texas coast with full moon rivers over the bay to the Valley of the Moon, and just had our first full moon. It wasn’t the same, but it was beautiful, and now it’s ours.
