That was “old time” animation folks, PEOPLE drew animation sequences, each cell was photographed. No computer graphics or digital animation. That is why I still love the comics, for the most part , they are still drawn by a cartoonist (a person). One of my favorite animated cartoons was Popeye the Sailor, before Brutus, check out the background illustrations in those “oldies” if you ever get the opportunity. If you like animated cartoons those are real gems.
