That’s the way TV has been since I was a kid. Everything seems to run in popularity cycles. When one show becomes a hit, all the other networks want to jump on the band wagon. You’ll get several years where westerns are the big thing, then detective shows, medical dramas, sci-fi, secret agents, adventures, rom-coms, etc. Now that there are hundreds of cable channels, the trend has accelerated.
That may work, but Hammie’s default excuse is always “It was an accident.” The destruction they all wreak is the result of deliberately ignoring instructions.
As a side note, Darryl is using the wrong tool. If they can see it is a stuffed walrus, then he should be able to just pull it out. Plunging is just going to drive it farther down the pipe.
Yes, Zoe does that — we’ve seen her do it — but does Darryl willingly go along with her so she doesn’t get into trouble? Not that I can recall.
