Hmm. I think that’s backwards a bit. We had a cat that did drink some antifreeze. The vet told us to use vodka or rum or some such – real alcohol to replace/dilute the stuff in the antifreeze…
ok – how can I do from memory…My grandfathers clock was to big for the shelf,so it stood ninety years on the floor. It was taller by half than the old man himself, though it weighed not a penny-weight more.It was bought on the morn of the day that he was bornand was always his pleasure and pride.
but it stopped – short – never to go again, when the old man died.
Ninety years without slumbering, tick-tock, tick-tockhis life seconds numbering, tick-tock, tick-tockbut it stopped – short – never to go again, when the old man died.
… That’s about it.There was something about and it struck 24, when he came through the doorwith his arms holding his beautiful bride.
I’ve been to a spot in Mexico where it was common for water to be turned on to regions of the city in turn. Every house had a large tank in/on the roof that filled when it was their turn.
I always wondered why some teachers could control with no effort, and others had no effect. We had one that could walk into a combined meeting of multiple grades – say 450 kids – say “Let’s have it quiet” – and it would be. Another could near throw a tantrum in his class of 20, and its effect would last for maybe 5 seconds.
Or else it’s a throughput problem – only so much bandwidth between the brain an the mouth…
