As a Packers fan since the 1960’s, I love it when the Cowboys lose.

I played center as a kid so I’m biased, but a good o-line makes a huge difference.

I overheard at the store a little boy telling his sister, “I don’t know why you like unicorns so much. They’re just horses with horns on their heads!” I smiled and thought, you tell her kid.

I agree. But that’s in the future. The steps I posted deal with the unfortunate reality of now.

Three things to do if there’s an active shooter: First. Run away if you can. Second. If it’s not safe to run, hide where you can’t be seen, preferably in a locked space. Third, fight with whatever is at hand. Throw a water bottle, a phone, or anything that will distract the shooter. You may not survive, but you could save someone else. All this comes from a veteran cop who is now head of security at the hospital where I worked and now volunteer.

What a bunch of bs. I’m a lifelong Midwesterner and a Christian, and I’m none of those things. Talk about a broad brush!

Traditionally, flying the U.S. flag upside down was a sign of severe distress. Then MAGA stole it and corrupted it into a sign of their corrupt “Stop the Steal” insurrection.

@blessosu Not sure what you’re getting at. My mother read to me as a young child, and I’ve loved books and reading ever since. Before switching careers because of a lack a jobs I taught 5th & 6th graders in an inner city school. My emphasis was reading, and my kids increased their reading level from 3rd-4th grade to 5th-6th. You just restated my point and said I could not be MORE wrong. I honestly don’t get it.

@ILK Um, no. Books are for any time at any age.
