It’s sad but it seems that most of the country shares Calvin’s bad mood. Read the headlines and it’s like most people wake up each morning and pray:

“Thank you Lord for giving me one more lousy day. Now, who should I hate today?”

@Vonnegut, I’m guessing that who are the type that likes to just walk up to a bear and poke it with a stick? LOL. No worries, I think I get you! Please keep discoursing. It’s nice to read posts more clever than “gee, that’s funny!” and “my brat does that too!”

@midiranger, It’s wildly unfair to characterize “atheists” as “christian haters”. Atheists are generally tolerant, happy, loving folks who don’t feel threatened by Christians or their beliefs. However, as your comment suggests, a great many Christians are very threatened by the very existence of athiests, which helps explain their obsessive need to constantly proselytize and recruit in order to calm their fears.

And what odd community do you live in that has a “pro-promiscuity” crowd? That’s like politicians who tout being against crime. Is there anyone running on the pro-crime ticket?

Hello there Mr. Bear! poke. poke. poke.

A lot of people apparently woke up on the wrong side of the bed on Saturday! Maybe it’s time you all stopped looking to Fox News for cues on civility and good manners!

Talk about perseverence in the face of adversity! Good job Calvin! I admire pluck!

I think this is rather sweet! People are always posting their low opinions of Calvin’s parents and here we have an example of a father who not only takes the time to regularly read his child to sleep but also to do so with voices, sound effects and perhaps a bit of interpretive dance! (and it’s clear that he does this repeatedly!)

I wonder how many “real” parents can claim to put forth near as much effort!

I am happy to say that I have no fear of monsters. Never have. I feel very sad for children who live in fear of their own imaginations. Large segments of the population fill their children’s heads with nonsense so that they live in constant fear for most of their lives. No wonder there are so many psychopaths roaming around.

    (and aardvarks never drool.)
