I was not expecting a BCN x RuPaul’s Drag Race crossover, yet here we are. Pucky’s glasses look similar to those used on RPDR for the “reading” challenge. I need a moment…
I am not sure what’s to be clueless about. The B-52’s became HUGE in ‘89 when they released “Cosmic Thing” and Love Shack was the second single. The video is tons of fun as it mostly takes place at a house party where they’re the band (there’s even a cameo by RuPaul, who even suggested the Soul Train dance line). The dang song was ubiquitous for a very long time, even after they released the follow up singles Roam and yes, The Deadbeat Club (which is the perfect song, truly). It’s a good thing they didn’t make the children familiar with Rock Lobster, off their first album in ‘78, because it’s very underground and strange (you can look it up on YouTube).
As for Daft Punk, it’s an electronic dance group and we never saw the faces of the duo behind it. You’re probably familiar with their hit single “Get Lucky.”
Gorillaz was the side project of Damon Albarn from Brit-pop band Blur with comic book artist Jamie Hewlett, and it’s a virtual band (=their videos are cartoons because that’s what the band members are). You’re probably familiar with their hit singles “Clint Eastwood” (t.ly/7QSi) or “Feel Good Inc.”
This! So much! I don’t hear anything else (maybe some litter box scratching if my boys are trying to reach Vancouver or Cardiff from where we live) but the retching gets me up like that snaps
Hi, this is your friendly neighborhood mutant who received the J&J vaccine and… only had a sore arm for a day and a half. (I’ve been calling myself a mutant for years and a hematologist had to admit that, technically, I am one since I tend to have lower neutrophils a variety of white cells that in a normal person would require a plastic bubble due to lower immunity whenever I work too much, but I remain unbothered by them.)
I actually had to do this with a cat I had years ago (he gave himself a hot spot on his tummy). He walked around in a onesie with a hole cut for his tail and booty that read “Mama’s boy” across the chest.
Why are we not discussing the books Beatrix is using as podium? It’s GENIUS.
