Regarding yesterday, per the 12/26/48 strip, Sam was a busy man before joining Dick Tracy…he started out as a dentist (!), ran a deli in Philly, studied law, worked on the police force in Brooklyn, the detective bureau in Chicago, and was a special investigator in Boston for 2 years, before returning to his hometown from a request by Chief Patton.I know there’s been previous debates about Tracy’s locale, but according to this, in 1948, it was neither New York or Chicago.

Tim, two years ago you had no problem with the strip – “nice touch team tracy.. almost as good as the 4th of july one! i dont mind this kind of interruption to a storyline”. Last year you had a problem, so eleven years is the limit I guess. Whatever.
