Regarding yesterday, per the 12/26/48 strip, Sam was a busy man before joining Dick Tracy…he started out as a dentist (!), ran a deli in Philly, studied law, worked on the police force in Brooklyn, the detective bureau in Chicago, and was a special investigator in Boston for 2 years, before returning to his hometown from a request by Chief Patton.I know there’s been previous debates about Tracy’s locale, but according to this, in 1948, it was neither New York or Chicago.

I think in the “commemorate all or nothing” line of thinking nothing would be remembered.

Tim, two years ago you had no problem with the strip – “nice touch team tracy.. almost as good as the 4th of july one! i dont mind this kind of interruption to a storyline”. Last year you had a problem, so eleven years is the limit I guess. Whatever.

I suspect this tie-ins with Sparkle’s “strangely written” mystery letter (postage due, a fan commenting on her past childhood singing career.)

The original Mr. Crime along with Big Boy (the man indirectly responsible for Moon Maid’s demise) are shown in the Crimestopper’s textbook. Breaking up a bad meth lab today?
