Donner was the name of a group of pioneers who got caught in a blizzard in the Rocky Mountains and ate each other….”The Donner Party.” Donder is German (or Dutch) for Thunder and Blitzen means lightning; hence, they go together. I cannot thank you enough for advancing the cause of the correct spelling of “DONDER” the reindeer. You are my hero!!!!!
