Whoever is coloring this for Yahoo/Go Comics had better wake up. Johnson’s hair is blond, for crying out loud. I hate that I have no control over how my characters appear on this site.

An Anglophile would enjoy them; an Anglophobe would not. I am proudly the former.

My point exactly. When I wrote this particular week, I was watching “Wire in the Blood”, a BBC series so graphic it made “Silence of the Lambs” look quaint. And yet, my grown daughter and I are uncomfortable watching a scene involving nudity together.

Hey! These ARE repeats and I can’t do anything about it. It’s a syndicate thing. But if you want to see the new stuff and the relaunch, go to www.preteena.com and check out the brand new site. I’ll be posting new strips every week, plus doing live chat. Also, the new book’s coming out in a couple of weeks called “It’s LIKE-like!”, so there’s that.

Thanks for checking in, and spread the word!

Hey, kids! This series was one of my faves, and I started to hit my stride - I think it was 2003? Anyway, my new site - with all new work, blogs, and ability to correspond with each character - will be up in a day or two. I’ll count on your input! Also, thenew book will be out before Valentine’s Day - it’s a compilation of romantic episodes - so stay tuned!

This is one of my faves. It was inspired by the daughter of a friend who was pathologically averse to bananas. I feel the same way about tofu (bean corpse).

Ode to Myself, by Jeri Keene

I wondered loudly to the crowd That gathers ‘round when I appear “You’re obviously pretty wowed - I’m not sure I should let you near.” So they stepped back to give me room Afraid I’d leave them in their gloom.

Because, you see, they idolize my every move, each breath I take, my perfect hair, my gorgeous eyes. This sort of thing you just can’t fake. It only takes a single glance from me to make my minions dance.

I could go on, it isn’t hard. Unseemly, maybe some would say (no doubt some jealous tub of lard - who’d care what she thought, anyway?). Trust me, I know you’ll never see A thing as great as me, me, me!
