   My stepdaughter memorized that and did that in her elocution class in high school. The teacher turned out to be a Parrothead but I did get a call about “more appropriate material” even though everyone in the room was laughing.

   My boys, when they were little, would watch that video over and over and over again (as young children do) and that was one of their lullabies.

   I have too many favorites. I used to sing “La Vie Dansant” and “Distantly in Love” as lullabies to my boys when they were little. (They used to make me rewind and watch the video of “La Vie Dansant” over and over and over again.) I think the song that I love is “Hula Girl at Heart” because it reminds me of my mother. One of my sons said it reminds him of me, which why he loves it.

   That was the “exit” song at our wedding 25 years ago when my husband and I left the reception. <3

   As a teacher currently teaching this to my 4th and 5th graders, this was hysterical. It’s going on the ELA bulletin board!
