I was living in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, and I was woken up to a voice that yelled at me to get out of bed at 4:27am which was 2:27am on the West Coast. Later that day, the news reported the Northridge earthquake that occurred in the early hours. To this day, I have no idea why I would hear a voice yelling at me to get out of bed prior to an earthquake that I was no where near. In 2001, I experienced my first earthquake at a government place I was working on through WORK BC.
I remember my late Mom asking a neighbor lady if she could bring back the plate that had what was left of the large chocolate cake she had made for a community potluck. The neighbor lady had brought back the plate and told us of her son coming home from hockey practice and having a large piece of that chocolate cake and commenting that it was better than his Mom’s. Mom was quick to reply that it is often the ingredients used like farm fresh eggs and the flour made from farm grown wheat that will affect the taste of a chocolate cake.
AWW, the dear sweet kitties want to sleep in the Christmas tree.
