Welcome back from Thanksgiving week break, a lot of brand New Dick Tracy strips to catch up on! And a whole new Serial Killer storyline!
And some posters dare put up a different viewpoint last week…, From the 24th….. Artists can create whatever they want. So some nit picking is just for those who have nothing good to say ever. And come here to do so so that they will always be happy at being unhappy. Also from the 24th….. It seems that to be an accepted member of this club, you can only post negative comments, some many times a day by the same author.
And you guessed it; everybody over-reacted and out come the name-calling. Come On People: Can’t we all just get along! Today we get two different views of the Police structure. Maybe Front and side…maybe front and back….maybe two other sides altogether. Problem solved! What’s so funny about peace love and understanding!

Fantastic Dick Tracy strip today!
And a wonderful cool crisp autumn day to be cleaning out the fall leaves from the gutters, for the fifth time. Lots of leaves again this year. Reports of an early cold snap, and I choose to put up the Christmas lights early this year. A great day to smell the neighbors burning the fall leaves while others put up their X-mas lights, too. And a wonderful selection of Brand New Go-Comics strips..from Dick Tracy to Mutts to Lio to your favorites..
Thank You Go Comics for a wonderful day!
And may I be the first to wish everyone a Happy and Safe holiday season. Merry Christmas to Dick Locher, Jim Brozman, Go Comics and the Tribune staff and families!
And a Blessed Thanksgiving to all who read this!

I agree with you, the Dick Tracy comic strip is great, and the first panel was so well drawn you could see the fleas leaping off of America’s favorite HERO, the Undercover Detective of the Year! You are right. And it shows that so many are staying up to all hours in the morning, just to be the first to spot a different ear-ring on one of the characters! Seventeen, sixteen, fifteen more minutes…. You Rock, boss. Hope you are the first to type in today!

I just read all the posts from yesterday. Quite a diverse group. I don’t get to post everyday or in prime-time most days. Yesterday’s another 14 hour long day and the boss like us to work at work.
I enjoy the new Dick Tracy strip everyday. I, like Vash, am one of the younger fans here. I am 43 and live in Kenosha, Wisconsin. My earliest memories of the Dick Tracy strip are reading the Sunday funnies with my Dad. Growing up in Illinois, Dick Tracy was our favorite strip, along with Blondie and Beetle Bailey. The later day Gould and early Fletcher strips. We just had our first snowfall here, but I know no one wants to here about any small news or any positive comments, so I will stay on topic….
But I just got back from Thanksgiving break, visiting family in Illinois. I had a chance to see the Dick Tracy statue at the Naperville River-Walk and it is remarkable! (sorry, another non-negative comment). If you ever get the chance, go see it.
The day I went it was raining (there is more weather talk, so if you are offended skip ahead). I really wanted a photo in the bright sunlight, but a dark photo of Dick Tracy in his wind-swept overcoat in the rain seems very appropriate for the subject matter.
Kids that came up to the statue either posed under the giant overcoat or struck a pose talking to their wrist watches for their parents. Another interesting fact: There was a wedding party posing for pictures around the Dick Tracy statue. A Naperville resident told me that the deck where the statue is had been a circular brick-platform where couples have been taking photos for years. Neat to think that generations of marriages will start here under Dick Tracy’s watch.
If any one else has any Dick Tracy statue stories or has visited the statue, it would be great to hear them. And thanks for the opportunity to voice a positive comment. I have tried to stay positive here but the Highly Rated and highly successful Jerry Springer-style Mob-Mentality still exists here. I’ll check back here to view any Dick Tracy statue stories, but the bitterness and petty nit-picking—–I can do without.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and to most of you… Have A Good Life.
