From wiki – I also find the new art awful. Heart of the City is a comic strip by Mark Tatulli. It began syndication by Universal Press Syndicate on November 23, 1998, and is still running. Since April 27, 2020, Christina ‘Steenz’ Stewart has taken over the comic, making her one of the few female African-American cartoonist on the mainstream funny pages.

I think it’s funny that, in 30 years, he looks EXACTLY the same. Hasn’t aged at all - or even changed his hair style!

I cut my bangs once when I was in high school. Ugh. I’ll remember that forever. I actually know how to do it now (am 44) - but I was sloppy back then. Nothing like having bangs that end a half inch ABOVE your eyebrows. :-) I learned that lesson.

One of my favorite cafeteria foods at school - Peanut Butter Fudge! My goodness it was good!!! Soft, creamy, smooth, yummy, and a GREAT stickiness quality that really kept it stuck to the cafeteria ceiling (really!). You always had to buy two pieces - eat one, toss one. Ahh - those childhood memories.

I worked at a bank call center. My favorite story is when i got a call from a college kid who was quesetioning overdraft charges on his checking account. His comment was “why did I bounce checks? I still have checks here in my check book - so I should still be able to write them.” Of course, he had no cash left in his checking account. Also, the people who never balanced their checkbooks were lawyers and doctors - we think they always figured they had enough money in their account.

I agree - if you’re ultra busy, you can best relate to other ultra-busy people! And if they’re your best friends, even better. This is definitely me too.
