I’ve known who Guy Fawkes was like forever, but don’t understand why his first name applies to all men. Makes no more sense to me that calling all men “fawkes”.
I took it as “73” the old time Morse code telegraphers shorthand for “Best Regards”. I learned that about the time I got my ham radio license some 65 years ago. And, “88” means “Love and Kisses”.
Yes, they do grow. The sugar maple tree in front of our home is about 1-1/2 times as tall as it was in the 2001 pix in this photo. and our kids are all grown up and on their own too.
I remember the early remote controls which used ultrasonic sound to transmit their signals. No batteries in the remote, just some ultrasonic chimes and spring loaded hammers which whacked them when you pressed the remote’s buttons.
