Ditto to Mac47. I just commented on the Red and Rover strip. My dad was a D-Day veteran and used to comment years ago that the only mention of D-Day in the newspapers was the Peanuts strip. Dad collected autographs and I know he wrote Charles Schultz to thank him.

I remember him saying in years past (before Private Ryan etc made D-Day “popular”) that the only reference to D-Day in the newspapers was in Peanuts. He would like this. He liked comics and collected autographs of cartoonists over the years…
