An example of brat as a negative word – the Oompa Loompas song for Veruca Salt in the original Willy Wonka film.

“Who do you blame when your kid is a bratPampered and spoiled like a Siamese cat?Blaming the kids is a lie and a shameYou know exactly who’s to blame:The mother and the father!”

GOAT is another. In comic history, it was Charlie Brown’s self-insult after every time he blew a ball game throughout the 60s and 70s.

uh, the guys who manipulated GameStop’s stock seemed to have gotten away with it. A lot of ‘alleged’, a lot of promised investigations from Congress and several state AG’s (with little follow-through), and a few unresolved class action lawsuits (some already dismissed), and here we are.

Supposedly a few of the lyrics in About Face, Momentary Lapse of Reason, and Division Bell were intended as snipes at Roger Waters. The Division Bell ones are more curious in that Gilmour didn’t write them.
