We were a military family, so my children didn’t get to be around family much , so when we did, everyone kind of went overboard and took them everywhere, they didn’t ordinarily get to go. to. It was really hard for them to understand that if we lived there all the time their aunt probably would not run out to get the ice cream they liked when there was ice cream in the freezer. And they knew their mom wouldn’t do it. :)
I live in a college town, and once had a student so busy texting on his phone walking from the dorm, toward the street. I had the green light, and he never even looked either way, if I hadn’t noticed him, and wondered if he was planning on stopping at the light and slowed down or I’d have hit him for sure. And when I honked the horn at him, he was very surprised that I was annoyed with him.
Could be any day now, Seems like they are making everything else bacon flavored. Even saw a bacon flavored ice cream Sunday at Denny’s. Did not try it.
I work in a pre-school/daycare, and if people would keep their sick kids at home that would go a long way toward passing things around. That doesn’t mean give them tylnol, to mask the fever then act all surprised when it wears off and we have to call you to come get them. That doesn’t make them any less contagious.
I don’t know about being smart. We had one that figured out how to push the lid up on his cage. We finally had to duct tape it shut. and just take the whole top off when we needed to change the cage.
When i was about five, I asked my Mom why my parents bought gifts for grandma and grandpa, and other reletives but they didn’t get us kids anything. only Santa gave us presents. Which was when she also told me the truth about Santa. When my kids were small, we always gave them a couple of gifts marked from Mom and Dad too.
