some posters have NOT BEEN THERE! since 9/11 i’ve been on unemployment 6 times! as of 3 days ago i am now again employed full-time; in other words, still swinging for the fences! as for ‘living on unemployment’ it’s allowed me to keep my house, feed myself and keep the utilitiles paid during times when NO ONE WAS OFFERING ME A JOB AFTER APPLYING. and applying. and applying, etc, etc, etc.

I agree! it is not the dems. OR repubs., it’s the dems AND repubs. when 2 parties cannot reach an agreement, or are at an impasse a 3RD party is needed! Nadar said it in 2000; they are 2 sides of the same corporate-money infused coin! that’s one of the main reasons for the fiscal problem. corporations that are profiting BILLIONS still recieving 100’s of MILLIONS in tax breaks while spends BILLIONS on lobbyists to accomplish this feat!

Have you not heard of the,“working poor”? Or have you not seen the new term.“prematemp worker”? Because it cost corporations less to hire temporary/part-time worker than to commit to a full-time worker? And did you forget that the 100’s of 1000’s of layoffs started while Bush was president?

Good strip Lisa. BUT you need to have 2 MORE doors; 1 for the Senate and 1 more for the House! Some of the last #‘s I saw showed the oil and gas industries alone spent more than 3 Billion $’s on lobbyists!
