IDK…. in canada we measure distance by time. I live 4.5 hours from toronto and 2 hours from Montreal. My cottage is a little under 2 hours away and it is 3.5 hours to North Bay to visit my granddaughter. It’s all relative.
Lynne lived in a hamlet, Corbeil, just outside of North Bay. She bases Ellie’s town on NB. One commenter says it is Millborough, a fictional suburb of Toronto, but that doesn’t jive with the amount of time it take Michael to get to/from University.
As a comic artist, she can take as much licence as she wants, really.
