Still laughing! This was an especially good one. Thank you Brett!

Go TjJ, Go TJ. I can feel the sexual tension from here!

TJ can handle a wild woman…Brad is too nice and needs more of a caretaking sort. Brad and Ann were like oil and water never able to congeal. TJ and Ann can be like a fine salad dressing…over Romaine lettuce, an excellent hard Itallian cheese and some anchovies…ymmmmmmmm.

Such a funny arc…especially since my little boy has a similar love-affair with any and every pen he meets. Paul Trap must have had a similar child or childhood.

Keep it up…you made my day!

Hilburn — funny as usually but with a special “twist” this time!

The the founding fathers were in favor of limited government but the debate was over which government should be limited. The debate was between having a strong federal government and weak state governments or having a weak federal government and strong state governments. That was the cental issue for our Civil War. The TP and some of the GOP, including Gov. Perry want to make the federal government weak and strengthen some state governments. (Perry even proposed that Texas secede from the Union!)

This was insane thinking in the 1700’s as well as the 1800’s and it is still insane in the 2000’s.

What if we gave BIG tax incentives to all businesses that would bring back any jobs that were ever sent off-shore, primarily to China, et al?

There is already some movement by bringing call centers back from India but we could accelerate this movement with federal and state tax incenitives. (There were tax incentives to move jobs off-shore -now just reverse that and bring the jobs home and keep the $ here. China and India are doing well now – maybe we could even provide goods and services to those countries.)

This move would help the “rich” plus these onshore jobs would provide income to American families, increase state and federal tax revenue, as well as provide a stream of customers to local businesses. Politically, this would seem to be a Win/Win for GOP and Dems as well as the radical TP — unless they really are racists/obstuctionists and just want to dis Obama at any cost and destroy our country.

Maybe an idea that could be presented by Trudeau and crew?

Anyone who is not clinically depressed cares about how they look as well as how others think about their looks.

john abrams: Opal is NOT a ridiculous old bag…unless you are projecting your own sense of self.

I have a “recued” dog and I often wonder who rescued whom…he has allowed me to consider some of life’s big questions through his persona; the answers have given me better insight on my own life.

What I find a bit disturbing is the image of the dog sleeping under the covers and the man being squashed in the middle…

I thought that it was only me. I don’t understand how Jane is the “punch line in her own comic”…since it is all over the place with little continuity.

Paige, do us a favor and just tell a story that hangs together from day to day..

I have to ask myself why I keep this comic strip as a favorite. It is boring…cute premise but gone off the rail for the last many weeks.
