They redate them with the current date when they color them in. It was originally published on June 16, 1964. If you click on the calendar you can eventually make it all the way back to see the original!

Missing panel #2, Linus yells “why don’t you go jump in the lake?”So why did they jump back a few years? What was wrong C.B. going to the ‘shrink’ about his problem that they couldn’t stay in sequence?Originally published 5/18/1958.

Finally after over 2 1/2 months they realized I’m not trying to sell shoes and my posts are actually visible!!! I was about ready to give up on this site and just setup my own strip-a-day routine.

For those curious, because I know there were a few when the strip first moved here from the other site, the original publish date was May 21, 1964.

Original publish date March 4, 1964.

  6. over 13 years ago on Peanuts

Original publish date March 6, 1964.

Does this site post original publish dates for any classic strips?

How come my posts are not visible until I log in? Doesn’t that mean that nobody else can see them either?

Original publish date March 3, 1964.

Does anybody at gocomics.com read these posts? If they do, do they ever take care of problems everyone constantly complains about?

Hobbes, you’re awesome. Where did you get that link from? That’s the way they should show the strip.

And today’s original publish date was March 2, 1964.

And what’s with the color? They should save that for Sunday’s only!!!

I love it when people post questions without reading all the other posts, I already said it was 02-23-64.

I’m also shocked so many people are so happy the strip is on this site now in an edited form when on the other site it was in it’s original form.

Rats, they moved my Peanuts strip! jss49 is right, it is missing a panel (Snoopy jumping off his doghouse). maxjaja is also right, nowhere does it say 02-23-1964. Lucky for me I was smarter than gimmickgenius and accessed the entire history while it was available at the other site. It took days but now I know it was worth it.
