The “wall” comes from running out of carbohydrate-based glucose. Some endurance athletes are switching to high-fat, adequate-protein, very low carb diets to change their metabolism from primarily carb-fueled to primarily fat-fueled. Even a lean athlete can store 10 times as much energy in fat as they can in carbs, getting rid of the wall in marathons. I got this info from “The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Performance.”
That is a popular misquote. Here is the correct one:“The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together; and a little child shall lead them.”Isaiah 11:6
“…the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” The opening phrase “A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state…” describes the purpose, but the second phrase says who the right belongs to, “the people.”
