    That is why proper cooking and handling of raw meat is so important. Cooking will kill the bacteria, and proper handling will insure that bacteria will not get from the raw meat to the cooked meat.

    While safe to drink, tap water is not completely pure. The impurities dissolved in it work like antifreeze in a car, depressing the freezing point, but only a few degrees.
