I’ll be the first to admit I’m very spoiled with the speed and convince of having a ‘barista in a box’ fully automatic espresso maker at home. It does everything from grind the coffee beans, brew 1 of 14 different coffee drinks, and will even steam/foam the milk for me.
At the previous company I worked for we had a Latin American sales team on the same floor as my team. While we were dressed in jeans and such, I swear everyone from LatAm was dressed as if they were going to a nightclub right after work.
In the early 90s a friend of mine bought a few quick pick lottery tickets for a drawing that night. First time she’d ever played and ended up winning over 15 million dollars. The sad part, she was completely broke by the mid 2000s.
Marvelous Lucas Electrics at its finest! You figure a company based in a country constantly shrouded in rain and fog would have water resistant electronics.. :P
At least they didn’t catch fire like the Magneti Marelli did in the Fiats, Alfas, and Ferraris. Thankfully mine were never down because of fire.. just everything else that’s bad about classic Italian cars.
Yep, Triumph cars were less popular than the MGs of the day. I do miss my ’69 Triumph Spitfire Mk IV somedays. Then I remember how much of a pain it was to keep on the road. haha
