    My thought, exactly.

  2. almost 8 years ago on Motley Classics

Merry Christmas to my favorite kitty.

Now, how do I pick up an item???

  4. almost 8 years ago on Wide Open

Certainly can be. Go easy with small portions at first. That way you can see what you like. A buffet-style is best, if at all possible. Hostesses/host often overload plates, which could involve your trying to hide something you don’t like under something else! I’ve done that-and I’m from here!

It’s interesting to know it has a name. In my case, it was how I was taught: First, no comma after penultimate item; then, years later, comma before ultimate item. When I had my editing/proofreading business, I left out the last comma unless the client really wanted it. My mantra was “consistency within the text.”

I agree a hundred percent. Thanks for expressing it so well. I’m 86, so you can guess why I know.

  7. about 8 years ago on Luann

I wonder how many readers noted this! Thanks, Mikeyj.

    “Stupidy”? Whatever happened to “stupidity”?

  9. about 8 years ago on Jim Benton Cartoons

Your comment was even funnier than the comic! Thanks for the laugh. I’m just glad I never touched your web—I would have been one of the screamers!

  10. about 8 years ago on One Big Happy

Good PC description. I’ve always loved the expression, “I’m not fat, I’m fluffy.” On another subject, “chronologically gifted” sounds better than “seniors” or other such.
