Certainly can be. Go easy with small portions at first. That way you can see what you like. A buffet-style is best, if at all possible. Hostesses/host often overload plates, which could involve your trying to hide something you don’t like under something else! I’ve done that-and I’m from here!
It’s interesting to know it has a name. In my case, it was how I was taught: First, no comma after penultimate item; then, years later, comma before ultimate item. When I had my editing/proofreading business, I left out the last comma unless the client really wanted it. My mantra was “consistency within the text.”
Good PC description. I’ve always loved the expression, “I’m not fat, I’m fluffy.” On another subject, “chronologically gifted” sounds better than “seniors” or other such.
