Kids around here used to like to drive down the road with one kid hanging out the passenger window swinging at mailboxes with a baseball bat. One homeowner got tired of it, so he put his mailbox inside of a larger one and filled the void between the two with concrete. Came out a couple days later to find a splintered baseball bat on the ground.

Our cat brought in a bat. Spent the next two hours with the windows and doors open trying to get the thing to fly back out.

Ken Bass was a mainstay in local radio for over 30 years. It was quite a shock when he got “retired” early last year. It still doesn’t seem right to not hear his voice in the morning.

My sister grows catnip in her garden for her cats. Since the plant is fairly prolific, she always has extra so when she comes over to our house she will bring a baggy full of catnip for our cat Haze. We now refer to her as “Haze’s supplier”.

I have a beard and a shiny top. I say that I still have just as much hair now as I did in high school. It’s just sagged a bit. Women aren’t the only ones who have problems with gravity.

I’m not totally worthless. I make a great bad example.

My wife and I had the honor of visiting the Schulz museum in Santa Rosa about 10 years ago. We spent the whole day walking through the place and enjoying the history and work of “Sparky”. I heard that it burned in the fires a few years ago. Is that true? Was any of the work lost? If it did happen, has it been restored?

A true guru is the guy who can log in as root, type ‘cat > /vmunix’, and still have the system running when he is finished.

When I first moved in to me brand-new house I would find the garage door opening and closing seemingly by itself. I complained to the builder, and we finally realized that he had built another house nearby and used the same code for the garage door opener. We changed the code and the problem was solved.
