Learned to read with my brothers' comic books. Often got chased out of the house by my mom on pretty summer days, but I showed her.... I took my comic books to read outside, usually in a tree somewhere. Today, I have a subscription to a real, 7-days-a-week, locally owned newspaper and the comics page is the first thing I read every morning.

I don’t remember doing that, but it sounds nice and warm. I did sometimes stretch out in the car’s back window. And I remember a lot of climbing back and forth between the front and back seats.

Yeah. Overall the movie’s not so great, but the reimagining of how Santa works is fun – and makes a lot of sense.

The problem is one of our own (society’s) making. Most holidays , including Thanksgiving & Christmas, are just days on a calendar and can easily be celebrated any other day. We are told and have become conditioned to celebrating on a certain day because everyone else does, but it’s not necessary. Do whatever works best for you and your family.

Cool! I think the tour is self-guided to a few of those local landmarks. Still something we want to do.

It’s regular surgery. I had general anesthesia when I had all four wisdom teeth removed. It wasn’t fun doing it all at once, but I was glad to have it over with – and to be knocked out for it.

Worked for a boss named Harold years ago. One Christmas, we started calling him Hark. Lasted a while, as I recall.

My husband’s a huge fan. Have you done the REM tour in Athens, GA?

Actually, quality pet foods contain nutrients in levels dogs and cats need that they might not get in human “real” food.
