Let’s see, he promised to get rid of DACA, Done. He is working on tightening up border security – illegal immigration is down since he was inagurated. Oh, and before you berate me for thinking undoing DACA was a good hing, BHO had no constitutional authority to do it. There is no law that permits him to grant them ‘amnesty’, it is merely a wink and a nod to ignore immigration laws that the congress goes along with. By getting rid of it the President will force the Congress to do something if the want to protect the dreamers. What has he done? If both sides of the aisle are mad at you, you must be doing something right. As for the economy, BHO doubled the debt (a time bomb IMHO), was President during the most lukewarm econimic recovery in history. The economy is about hope – at least there is now some hope – which we didn’t have for the past 8 years.
Bad? Economic growth is bad? Following through on what you campaigned for is bad? Reversing policies that have no basis in the law is bad? Expecting congress to do their constitutionally mandated jobs is bad? The problem with Trump is he makes you realize how much of a sheep you have been by following the political establishment. Both sides should be embarrased by how little thier elected representaives actually care about really solving problems.
But it is not a democracy. At most, we are a Democratic Republic, but republican government is distinct from a democracy.
