Is this arc about teaching her hubby to cook, or about her apparent new drinking problem?

I guess it all depends on the fool.

Trudeau apparently forgot that Democrats control the Senate, and the Committee Chair would be a Democrat, and the Ranking Member would be a Republican, unlikely to admit being vaxxed even if he was. The joke would have more sense in the House.

Leaving aside all the exciting commentary in the other thread, Danziger’s cartoon uses his confusion about transgender students to dismiss and demean all things transgender – which is the kind of willfully stupid I don’t need. So I’ll stop following this strip.

“Both-sides”ing a war with one clear aggressor. Not a good look. Ukrainians know which territory is theirs and which was stolen. Acting as if they would check that question with the Russians is a bad joke.

So cute that anyone would think, even as a joke, that 1923 was less racist than today. Not as a big difference as we’d like to think, but no golden age.

Let’s look at this “honor.” Talking about African killer bees (scary!), if THESE bees were African, their queen would have to be named Latifah. (Because she is African-American, get it?) Aside from the banality of what is really a stupid joke, (what IS these bees’ queen named?) it suggests things African are scary. (Or even that a strong Africa American woman is scary.) Not funny, not an honor.

No lack of thought could make this lame joke funny, especially if the “joke” is “Aren’t other cultures funny?” Ha.

How could Betty read Hemingway, and forget about “the drinking and fighting and war”? Kind of a big part.
