I’ve heard that Jim Meddick doesn’t have a Sphynx (hairless cat)… I have had several the breed has a very distinctive personality and he has captured it with Fleshy. They are different… My first Sphynx insisted on talking on the phone, If there was a party he was there. If you were bored he carried on these amazing conversations. At one point he decided yo teach us what we called “The Great Meow”. He climbed up on to a chair and got our attention then trough his head back and let out this amazing meow! Then looked at me so I meowed back…nope..He gave me a stern look…Ohhhh I didn’t through back my head..He didn’t stop until we all did it correctly. He seemed to really enjoy doing this to total strangers, but always got them to go along with it. He had a great attitude and a great sense of humor….oh and get this he shoplifted at several stores. I caught him all but once and no way were they going to believe the cat did it…until he snagged some treats and a toy mouse off their counter.. He picked a perfect breed for Fleshy. I named my second Sphynx after Fleshy… It an awesome name!

You want to borrow Venus? She says she’s hairless but has been licking a long haired cat for an hour. Give her a straw and she’s ready!

I caught my Sphynx (hairless cat) Venus reading Monty late last night and now she’s licking my other cats… I’m locking up my straws.

They aren’t from Egypt. They are actually a natural mutation that every cat has a gene for. The Sphynx today originated in Canada. They are naked and can get cold, but can also find the warmest place in your house with no problem. Many are willing to wear clothes as well. They do have to live inside. They are wonderful cats. Full of personality and very smart. The cat in my picture was nicknamed after Fleshy.

Thomas Scott Roberts, My thought as well. Being that I am the owner of several Sphynx I can honestly say they don’t get hairballs unless…….. FLESHY IS LIVING A SECRET LIFE AND WASHING A FURRED CAT!! Or Fleshy is shooting spit wads (Hairballs without fur) This would actually explain getting it in the straw….. I guess he would just kinda slurp it up…ewwwwww!

Sooooo…back to the strip? When is Fleshy going to fall out of the palm tree and try and eat the parrot who has just returned from “New America” carrying a response to the message he left with tied to his leg, a beer, sunflower seeds, and a can of cat food?

Thank you Hunter and yes, Fleshy was the coolest. He had amazing Ninja skills. For the record he didn’t suffer and passed quickly from a sudden heart attack in my arms. HCM is a horrible disease that any cat can have and it’s always fatal. I’m on the west coast as well…. 2 hours and 6 minutes to go!I still feel sober…maybe it’s the Jasmine tea.
