   Sweet mother of everything unholy, the men are out in full force. I don’t know what “woke” is, so whatever, and never heard that as a derogatory term, but if you say so, sunshine.

   I just don’t see women having melt downs on comic strip page comment sections over past grievances. We’ll have to agree to disagree. People are not property whether they be male, female, or whatever else, which should be obvious. I have no idea why that was even brought up. What aboutisms again. It’s a mansplaining/male privilege (yes, it’s male privilege when you’re more qualified and don’t get the job and feel you must have a rant on the comic page comment section about the social injustice you have had to deal with personally, like other people deal with daily, your qualifications aren’t up for discussion, it’s your way of handling the issue that is) issue that you feel the need to bring up these things and not acknowledge that you, as a man, do not understand what it is to be a woman (this also applies to people of colour) and to be looked down on and treated unequally, regardless of whether it is intentional or not. I don’t know what it is to be a man, I just know what it is to be a woman and having to deal with men like you who feel the need to openly go on about your personal injustices (on a comic page comment section, I want that to sink in). We all suffer injustices, for whatever reason, but dwelling on them isn’t healthy. Move on, or if you decide to fester, keep it to yourself. Honestly, I just want to read my comics daily, but then you see someone writing an essay, which I must now do as I read the comments like I shouldn’t, and here we are. At least Iceland tries to be equal, even if they falter here and there, it’s all new, sadly. It’s nice that people must be paid the same regardless, however.

   And I’m out. I have a life to lead, and far more pressing things to dwell on than your personal egos being boobooed. As a stormtrooper once famously said, “Move along.” Good day.

   So, they also could have hired the woman as she was younger and could be paid less and maybe had a more congenial temperament. Honestly, you just gotta get over your butt hurt and move on, cause you do yourself zero favours with rants like the above. Zero.

   Think they might be confusing the ASPCA with PETA, who don’t actually giving a flying rat’s backside about animals, they just don’t want people to have them or some bollocks. Nasty group.

    I actually asked another cartoonist about this a couple of years ago at a book signing, he didn’t know and he used to speak to him a fair bit, he seems to have just dropped off the map completely. Hopefully it’s nothing bad, he just decided to hang it up for the most part.
