   I get my own presents for Xmas (and my birthday). Either that or I give them a link to what I want. My family are happy with that because they don’t have to agonise over what to get and I get exactly what I want. The downside is that I don’t have any surprises, but going by some past experiences, that’s also an up side. If I want a surprise, I’ll provide multiple options and they choose which to get.     Train prices are weird. If I want to get a train from near my home to Gatwick Airport, it costs £20 as a one way ticket, and £6.20 for a separate return ticket. If I want a single return ticket, it costs £34. Go figure.
