Nerds typically enjoy highly intellectual hobbies and games that are done alone or one-on-one. Geeks tend to enjoy pop culture and they may share their interests more often with others. Geeks may collect box sets, mini-figures, memorabilia, and other things related to their interests. They may also “collect” trivia facts. Nerds typically don’t collect things, instead focusing on the pursuit of knowledge
I get my own presents for Xmas (and my birthday). Either that or I give them a link to what I want. My family are happy with that because they don’t have to agonise over what to get and I get exactly what I want. The downside is that I don’t have any surprises, but going by some past experiences, that’s also an up side. If I want a surprise, I’ll provide multiple options and they choose which to get. Win, Win,
Er, fair share of what? What a daft response with no context. If you mean the fact we have to share in your hurt, then that’s an even crazier response.
Why are Americans so stupid – and this coming from someone in a country where a lot of the idiots voted for Brexit. Look how well that’s worked out for us. That looks like a Nobel Prize decision compared with what you’ve all just done. We’ll see how long it takes before you cry about what you’ve landed yourself with. Outside the US we have absolutely no sympathy for you anymore. The only trouble is that you will also affect the rest of the world. There’s a reason there’s a phrase “When America sneezes, the rest of the world catches a cold” because you F it up for the rest of usJust goes to show that the public should not be allowed to vote for most things.Rant over
Train prices are weird. If I want to get a train from near my home to Gatwick Airport, it costs £20 as a one way ticket, and £6.20 for a separate return ticket. If I want a single return ticket, it costs £34. Go figure.
