Ummm, the comic is a tribute to Jimmy Carter, the most underappreciated president in history, and an incredibly decent man. Can we just take a minute to acknowledge that before bouncing to a pop culture debate?

A secondary theme that everybody has missed so far is Arlo is complaining about how his college team is now semi-pro with all the NIL and other payments. Long gone are the days of playing for the thrill of competition and and rooting for your team out of appreciation for their unpaid efforts. Sometimes I feel like Jimmy is reading my mind. Especially with a breakup of the pac-12 for strictly money grab reasons. University of Washington playing Rutgers. What the heck is that about.

This is supposed to be the comics section, not the puzzle section. Too many Huh? jokes with no real humor even if we can figure them out. Sorry, but I’m done with this strip.

Edit- I certainly had the time, it just never occurred to me to do it. Now I think I will…

Thanks for the repeat of the origin story. I’ve enjoyed your strip since I first bumped into it during COVID, but didn’t understand the reason for the primary relationship it explores and have never had time to go back to the beginning.

Uh, it’s pickleball. The ball is much lighter. A tennis ball would barely be affected.

75 years on this planet. Can’t believe I’ve never heard this one before.

Is this supposed to be a cartoon or a public service announcement? I don’t see anything amusing about it.

Trolley? Is this a British cartoon?

Since no one else had said so, I will- what a beautiful poem. Most inspiring thing I’ve read this Christmas. Thank you Jef.
