Ha! Funny. But a cinder block is not square.

Not sure what happened there. I just sent a note to my digital colorist reminding her that the dad has tan hair.

My fault. Ruby was supposed to be a strawberry blonde. Look for her throughout the summer!

I am thoroughly embarrassed that you, my faithful readers, have to see my cartoon today, in both newspapers and online sites such as this one. For reasons unbeknownst to me, the last panel was not colored as I had instructed my syndicate. It should have shown Rover covered in mud, along with muddy splatters across the front of Red from head to toe. I humbly apologize.

The caption contest will be posted either next week or the following week. I’ve had over 1500 entries to sort through between doing strips. Thanks for your patience!!

To my readers. A miscommunication between myself and the digital colorist at my syndicate resulted in the tiny bird poop on the ground not being made white in multiple panels. Though comic strips are funny business, i take my work very serious, and as such, accept full responsibility for this error and hope something like this never happens again. You have been unbelievably loyal readers, and as such, deserve my very best. — Brian Basset
