Down here in the Houston, Texas area the favorite carbonated mineral water is Topo Chico. It comes unflavored, twist of lime and grapefruit (juice only, no sugar or any other sweeteners). It is available at many Mexican restaurants. Very refreshing, as further attested to by a local meteorologist at the local NBC affiliate It is bottled in Mexico in glass bottles and sold by HEB (the largest grocer in Houston and probably most of Texas, since it is based in San Antonio). It is also sold by Amazon Whole Foods (originally started in Austin) Sprouts (California based), Walmart, Kroger, and Amazon Fresh. I hear it is popular in California as well. There is also an Austin (I think) based Texas country music duo called the Topo Chico Cowboys in honor of the Mexican mineral water. I think their fans started calling them that and the name stuck. Coca Cola acquired the company a few years back but they didn’t screw up the brand. They do have a spiked mineral water under the Topo Chico brand, but it is bottled in Tempe, AZ.
