I appreciate that it was a short video. Thank you. The title says “adaptive”, but such biological ability is working with pre-existing genes. That does not show evolution.

Good point you made. I guess my point is a bit unclear, so please allow a different example.

I teach the endless parade of issues of biological evolution. E.g., “We can look high or we can look low, in books or in journals, but the result is the same. The scientific literature has no answers to the question of the origin of the immune system.” -Darwin’s Black Box (Michael Behe)

Textbooks often state, “The immune system adapted to fight off viruses.” However, they do not provide a scientific explanation for the development of the highly complex immune system, relying instead on broad concepts such as “adaptation” or “evolution” without detailing/showing/providing the underlying mechanisms of its origins. You just believe it by faith.

“…some sea turtles are adapted to handle the stinging cells of jellyfish…”, I wonder how that can be demonstrated scientifically that they “adapted”. As a biology teacher, I have never seen true evidence like this. It is a religious belief -not science- as it is taken by faith to be a true statement.

The Chinese sacrifices, called Boarder Sacrifices, has roots that trace back over 4,000 years, with its origins linked to the worship of Shang Di, the “Lord above heavens and earth”.The Hebrews worshipped Shaddai, “Lord over the heavens and the earth”.

NOTEIn the context of the Hebrew Bible, Yahweh is also used to denote the Lord, emphasizing His eternal and self-existent nature. However, Shaddai specifically highlights His might and authority over the heavens and the earth.

You have probably seen the location of the Border Sacrifices in pictures of China, as it is still a popular landmark today.

Having lived in China, I discovered that the ancient Chinese held a deep respect for life and proper burial practices. (Interestingly, I also learned that until 1911, they made sacrifices to the same God as the Hebrews did!) The idea that workers were buried within the Great Wall is a myth, though many lives were lost during its construction.

Sounds like RCA’s Instant-On TV.We had a huge 16" diagonal that turned on instantly. It did so by actually staying on in a standby mode. The TV was always warm and you could see a faint glow of orange from the back between the air vents.

Of course UFOs getting out of the way would be logical. To me, it was more of the idea that somebody (NASA) already knew of their existence…and it took the government decades to admit such. My dad even saw a UFO — it was triangular in shape…sorry, not a flying saucer. He even spoke of other UFO things, but they were second hand stories. Neat fact: Wernher von Braun would give my dad money to pay for meals at McDonald’s because he found American change illogical—even though the Reichsmark (and Papiermark) he was familiar with had various denominations and values, too.
