Help me out here: aren’t people wearing MAGA hats today implying that America is not great and needs to be brought back to the “greatness” level of previous years? Like when there was economic growth and we were not the laughingstock of the World? Where can I buy those hats?
Yeah, not to mention the grocery barons who want us to pay for food! I say groceries strike and then gas strike, utilities strike, etc. The faster we get to the bottom, … uh… the faster we will be at the bottom. Just as Trump is not the answer to the middle class woes, socialist populism where the entrepreneurs get thrown out with the bath waters will not solve our society’s difficult problems.
Sorry, Lisa, but your kind’s deplorable ploy to use this human catastrophe as an opportunity to stoke the flames of racism has failed. You see, staying in your vanishing echo chamber makes you ignorant of what’s going on in the World and NO ONE outside of it is using this term to designate the virus. But don’t trust my words, try again and see if any non deplorables start emulating your barking!
Ted is doing his job of using his first amendment rights to passionately promote his opinion of what he believes would be his ideal candidate and policies. Now, of course politics and governance in a democracy is a lot more than people expressing opinions and executives acting on them or theirs, as we have so cruelly been taught those past three years. This may be best summarized by Churchill’s quote that “… democracy is the worst form of government except for all those other forms that have been tried…”. So, yes, democracies will commit atrocities and make huge mistakes, although, obviously they shouldn’t. Heck, they may even commit suicide from time to time (although, usually only once!) as our founding fathers have warned us. Suicide is final and therefore should be avoided at all cost. So, perhaps, just perhaps, it is incumbent on the (majority of the) shareholders (We, the People) to act with reason rather than emotion. That means voting, and sometimes voting for the lesser of two evils, even if that seems the feckless thing to do (so we can continue to passionately voice our opinions and squabble away online)!
Someone never heard of Tesla (the car manufacturer, not the inventor, you know the company valued at more than 4 x (GM + Ford))
