Google will eventually create a new version directed towards medical diagnosis. Technology marches on…

Ramen can be useful combined with vegetables, different meats. The salt content of the flavoring powder is however excessive. Only use what you need.

I really like this series. Educational, but very well done.

    S.O.P. for Republicans…

  5. about 5 years ago on For Better or For Worse

A US citizen would be worrying about the cost of delivery. (which is in the thousands of dollars here) Something unique for developed countries.

  6. about 5 years ago on The Martian Confederacy

I assume some sort of “terraforming” was done. The current “air” pressure on Mars is too low to survive without a pressure suit. Even if you could breathe pure oxygen, it wouldn’t be enough. Martian “air pressure” is about 1/100th that of the Earth at sea level at the best. About 0.15 psi.

Michigan did at one time before one of our governors decided to “save money” by seriously cutting back the number of DMV’s to less than half of those that used to be in operation…

    Republicans can’t win honest elections.

  9. about 6 years ago on Mike Luckovich

Historically, “republics” have always been oligarchies.

Note that the word “democracy” (as was practiced in Greece) meant a system of selection of representatives by means of a lottery. Not elections.

You can imagine what the US would look like today under “democracy” as was practiced by the Greeks. Very likely we’d have single payer health insurance and state supported education all the way through college.

I believe this comic strip is supposed to be in Canada.
