Play them the Hall & Oates version. They might recognize that.

This cartoon turns up just in time to coincide with that walkout by Amazon drivers in some areas. Proof that the lead time for comics often causes an inadvertent faux pas on the part of the artist.

Based on the fact that David Gilbert drew the last original strip in March 2021 and GoComics appears to be rerunning the entire series in chronological order, I estimate that this originally appeared in late October/early November 1999.

They did when this strip was originally published in the late 1990s. (Apparently not everyone knows that David Gilbert stopped doing the strip almost four years ago and these are all repeats.) And I am guessing David was unaware of how relatively primitive early digital satellite video was … I had DirecTV back then and there were plenty of artifacts visible on my 25" TV at the time. Viewing it on a big screen would not have been enjoyable.

I think President Biden realized that there are now no consequences by his pardoning Hunter, since he will effectively retire from politics on January 20. Besides, his breaking of his “promise” pales against what we are likely to see over the next four years.
