oh, so Lila is the pillar of convention now? As in: just buy the expensive stuff if you like it and put it away in your shoe-closet, because it’ll NEVER be suitable and you’d be ridiculed for wearing the stuff to the bars n’ clubs …. puleeeeeeeeze it’s 2014 not 1954…go in white shoes if you want to, even if you’re not Roger Federer. But ok, it’s reruns and the rut is too deep by now to look beyond.
@brdshtBut at least Rosa is alive. More than can be said about the talking cardboard-figure she carries around and that is only concerned about his comfort.
As to “I won’t go back” – that shows extreme weakness. Greatness and strength would be to hop on the next flight, go to University and admit that there is no need for know-it-all-Youngsters with no education in the real world…. apart from answering phones and data entry that is.. and write a thank-you card to uncle-invisible and hug her parents.. oh and DUMP that dumpling… yes, I know every comic strip lives of loosers because people love to hate them, but please, I promise I will keep reading it without him.
… makes sense. Funny: the stuff mom and sis are holding up looks even tinier than for a 3-year-old.. in a weird turn, the kids in this comic don’t stay frozen in time, they all become tiny-sized-no-grow-beings. This aspect honestly is creepy. During one year they shoot up so you’d buy clothes at least one or two numbers larger.. unless you’re Rockefeller (or perhaps especially if you’re..)
@bootstheboarwhy do you post so many times?why do you post so many times?why do you post… um..
(why do they go shopping at all? They don’t grow, they can wear the stuff Evie bought last year. Or the year before that or the year.. – nah, don’t go all foaming at the mouth here, – this is just a joke.. let them shop.)
Well.. is the story arc bad? No, I don’t think so.. it’s actually quite good, Rosa channeling Delta, Gunther being as always autistic selfish unattractiv and the secretary straight from the 8os with Crystal’s goth-make up and granny-hair added. I say: it will be all “a dream”…
I thought I’d wait before calling the cliché-police on that one and I am very glad that quite a few people have stated the obvious: terrible-racial-cliché…. only missing bit would be to write “fellet”…. I don’t know, Luann was never prone to that sort of super-clichéd drawing… Funny by the way, how some want to push the problem away to other planets “so this is what EUROPEANS see Asians like…” (yeah, ‘cuz we don’t have tv and internet and never see any members of those elusive and rare peoples here..) No, dear, that’s how CANADIANS … hope we don’t have to endure other types… orthodox jew, muslim-girl, yobo from UK, Lederhosen-type from Switzerland/Bavaria/Austria… omg nooooooooo
